Repairing Your Smile
With restorative dental care, we can address issues like damaged or missing teeth, effectively restoring your smile.
When we repair structural problems such as damaged or missing teeth, we help you achieve healthy teeth, allowing you to eat, talk and smile with ease.
Depending on your issue, the dentists at Karo Dental will determine the right restorative treatment option for you.
Dental Crowns
Crowns are small caps that are made from thin porcelain. They sit over the natural teeth to restore their function and appearance. They can also be used to attach bridges, cover dental implants, prevent a cracked tooth from worsening, or restore a discoloured or stained tooth to its natural appearance.
Dental Bridges
Bridges are natural-looking tooth replacements bonded to existing teeth or dental implants to replace a section of missing teeth. Because they are custom-made, bridges are barely noticeable and can restore the natural contour of teeth.
Dental Fillings
At Karo Dental, we use composite (tooth-coloured) fillings to repair cavities or tooth damage, like a crack. These fillings can withstand moderate pressure from the constant stress of chewing and can be used on front and back teeth.
Inlays & Onlays
Inlays and onlays are tooth-coloured porcelain fillings used to repair cavities when the damage is too extensive for a standard dental filling. These will be custom-made in a laboratory and then sent back to your dentist, who will bond them to your natural teeth.
Non-Surgical Periodontal (Gum) Therapy
Gum disease is a type of infection that affects the tissues in the mouth. This includes the gums, gingiva, alveolar bone, cementum, and periodontal ligament. If the disease is caught in the early stages, preventive therapy will be recommended. Otherwise, treatment methods will depend on the type and severity of the gum disease.
TMJ Disorder Treatment
The temporomandibular joint (or TMJ) is a hinge that connects your jaw to the temporal bones of your skull. The disorder of this joint can cause a host of issues with your jaw and the muscles in your face, including painful symptoms. Our dental team can diagnose TMJ disorder and develop a treatment plan to help address your symptoms.
Same-Day Restorations
Using CEREC® technology, our dentists can create and place porcelain crowns, inlays and onlays during a single dental appointment to help restore your smile. There is no need for impressions or temporaries - just tooth-coloured, metal-free restorations in one visit.
